Introduction

The trek to Annapurna Base Camp is one of the amzaing trek in Nepal. The trek offers you magnificent view of Annapuran range including some of over eight thousand meters high himalayas. You pass through beautiful cultural villages, dense forests and at the end be comfortable at the natural hot spring pool. The trip begins in Kathmandu and ends at Pokhara which is one of the most popular touristic cities filled with natural beauties and serene lakes. Day 5    Tadapani to Sinuwa (2310m/7575ft)


Day 6    Sinuwa to Deurali (3150m/10330ft)

Day 1 : Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu

You are welcomed by hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to hotel. Our airport representative will explain briefly the program upon arrival. Overnight at hotel

Day 2 : Fly to Pokhara (910m/2985ft) 25-min then trek to Tikhe Dhunga

Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, five peaks of Annapurna range and others. Numerous lakes of Pokhara offer fishing, boating and swimming, the city itself is popular as city of lakes. Pokhara is situated in centre of Nepal and it is nestled in a region of awesome natural beauty. From Pokhara, we will drive to Nayapul (42km) by car/taxi via the large village of Lumle and walk for about 20 minutes to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town. The trail follows the main street of Birethanti, going through bamboo forests and past a large waterfall and swimming hole. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Ramghai where you will have lunch. After lunch, the trail climbs gradually up the side of the valley, reaching Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight at guesthouse breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3 : Trek to Ghorepani (2850m/9350ft)

From Tikhe Dhunga the trail crosses a stream on a suspension bridge near the camp site at Tikhe Dhunga. The trail ascends a steep stone staircase (which has about 3300 steps) to the large Magar village of Ulleri at 2080m. Above the village, the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. From Nangethanti we will climb to Ghorepani at 2850m, from here we can see the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m). Day 4 : Hiking -Poonhill (3210m/10528ft), trek to Tadapani (2500m/8200ft)

This morning, we will get up early and hike to Poon Hill. From here you will see a superb view of the sunrise and a panoramic view of the Himalaya, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Tadapani. Overnight at guesthouse breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 5 : Tadapani to Sinuwa (2310m/7575ft)

Dropping down from Tadapani Gurjung the route offers good views of the upper Modi valley. The path then starts the long ascent high above the west bank of the Modi Khola. We pass the village of Chhomrong which lies tucked at the very base of Himal Chuli. From Chhomrong the trail descends until Chhomrong Khola then trail begins a slow climb as we head up to our destination for the day. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 6 : Sinuwa to Deurali (3150m/10330ft)

We proceed to Kuldi Ghar about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs walking. There is a clearing in the forest a little further on, from there the route goes very steeply down a bank of rock and then levels out, running through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. We pass by the pasture of Tomo, and then the very neck of the gorge at pantheon Barah, where there is a small trail and a shrine. The track climbs to Himalaya. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 7 : Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210m/13810ft)

Today we climb on past the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (which isn’t really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted) to the Annapurna Base Camp. This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. From here it is a two-hour trek to Annapurna Base camp, which offers spectacular views. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 8 : ABC to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft)

We follow the same trail down today the trail drops by 1,700m to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2,345m where there are a few teahouse/lodges available to stay at. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 9 : Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (hot spring) (1780m/5840ft)

Today, we follow the same trail until Chhomrong. Once we have passed Khuldighar there is an experimental sheep farm, the trail continues through rhododendron and bamboo fields. From Chhomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu hot spring, where you can bathe in natural hot springs. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 10 : Jhinu Danda to Kathmandu (1370m/4495ft)

From Jhinu hot springs, we walk at the right side of Modi Khola to Birethanti which can be considered as one of the best and the most relaxing walks of the entire trek. We then reach Nayapul and after an hour drive, we will be back to Pokhara and take latest flight to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel, breakfast and lunch included.

Day 11 : Farewell

Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from Nepal Hiking Team will take you to the airport.

Requirement

As you are going into the high Himalayas and the weather is subjected to change anytime so warm cloths are recommended all year round.  You could leave all the unnecessary items at your hotel or contact us to be storage. Just pack all your trekking gears in one bag which will be carried by our carrier and make a small day bag for yourself to carry the things which you might need during the day and for your valuable belongings.
