Introduction

The trip starts with a warm welcome to Kathmandu and we explore some of the beautiful historical sites of Kathmandu before heading to the trekking trail and beautiful nature. The hard work will be well paid by the natural beauty and snow capped mountain views. We then enjoy the down hill biking and end our trip paddling in famous mountain river.

Outline Itinerary


Day 1    Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel, stay overnight


Day 2    Visit to old Royal palace, Hindu and Buddhist Temples


Day 3    Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chispani and overnight in teahouse


Day 4    Chispani trek to Nagarkot and overnight in hotel


Day 5    Nagarkot biking to Bhaktapur, sightseeing in Bhaktapur durbar square and drive back to Kathmandu and stay overnight


Day 6    Early morning drive - raft- and drive back to Kathmandu and stay overnight


Day 7    Drive to airport and fly toward your own destination


Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel, stay overnight

Day 2 : Visit to old Royal palace, Hindu and Buddhist Temples

Today after breakfast we head for our full day sightseeing tour which are most popular sites to visit in kathmandu and listed as world heritage site where we visit Kathmandu Durbar square, Swyambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath)

Kathmandu Durbar square:

"Kathmandu Durbar square" also known as Kantipur, the capital of The Kingdom of Nepal. Here you will visit the temple of the living goddess, who greets the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence, Kastamandap temple, the origin of the name Kathmandu, which is supposed to be built from the wood of a single tree and Durbar Square, the ancient palaces of the Nepalese Royalty. The square is filled with temples and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Swyambhunath:

Located at the top of the hill approximately 4 km./2.5 miles west from Thamel. It is also known as The Monkey Temple as there are holy monkeys living in parts of the temple in the north-west. It is an ancient religious complex consists of a stupa, variety of shrines and temples surrounded by forest. The stupa has a cubical structure present with eyes of Buddha, looking in all four directions with the word "unity" in the main Nepali dialect between them. The stupa is said to be 2000 years old.

Boudhanath Stupa

This stupa is located 8 km. East of Kathmandu city. It is one of the largest stupas in Nepal and listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It stands with four pairs of eyes in four cardinal directions, watching for righteous behaviour and human prosperity. The Buddhist Stupa was built by King Man Deva by the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest.

Pashupatinath Temple

Situated 5 km. east of Kathmandu city and is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Situated among a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River. The temple was built in pagoda style with beautifully carved wooden rafters and a gold pinnacle, which is a symbol of religious thought. The entrance of the temple is strictly prohibited for non-Hindus, how ever visitors are permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River where the crimination takes place. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important places of pilgrimages for the followers of Hinduism.

Day 3 : Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chispani and overnight in teahouse

Say bye to the busy hubs of Kathmandu and drive to sundarijal for about an hour and start our trek. The first part of the trek welcomes you with uphill walk through village, water fall, and river and enters to the Shivapuri national park area which is the inhabitant of wild animals and if lucky you could also encounter with some wild animals on the way. Tonight we gona stay overnight in Chispani from where you could see the nice view of mountains.

Day 4 : Chispani trek to Nagarkot and overnight in hotel

Its gona be an early wake up and time for another beautiful day. On this day we are going to start long walking day but pleasant walking with down hill, uphill and gradual walk going through beautiful village and forest to Nagarkot which is another great view point place to see the Mountain View and sunrise. Stay overnight in Nagarkot and explore around Nagarkot. The lush hill, pine forest, view of kathmandu valley are stunning.

Day 5 : Nagarkot biking to Bhaktapur, sightseeing in Bhaktapur durbar square and drive back to Kathmandu and stay overnight

Another beautiful day where you gona be biking through village, forest and beautiful scenery. First part of the biking will take you up hill to the view tower from where you could have great view over mountain and then down hill biking to Bhaktapur where we gona end our biking and start exploring one of the historic town of Bhaktapur and drive back to Kathmandu.

Bhaktapur:

Bhaktapur is the one of the three ancient cities within the Kathmandu Valley. It is also known as Bhadgaun, meaning the city of devotees and is the home of true medieval art and architecture in the Valley. Lying 14 km east of Kathmandu city, Bhaktapur is the center of traditional Nepalese wood carving. Compared to other royal cities in Patan and Kathmandu, Bhaktapur is the most original and is without a doubt the most historically authentic. It is also literally a living museum where farmers dry their harvest, potters turn their wheel and people go about living as they have done for so long.

Day 6 : Early morning drive - raft- and drive back to Kathmandu and stay overnight

We leave early in the morning from Kathmandu and make our way along river valleys, past terraced fields to rafting starting point and raft in one of the popular river in Nepal. We gona enjoy some of the 2-3 grade rapids on this day and drive back to Kathmandu.
